About Me

My photo
Hey, I am Monica. Music is my life. I could name off 50 quotes or lines from songs that explain me. But I will just give you one, "Music is only love looking for words." -Lawrence Durrell. I am just trying to get through life as a teenager and music is my outlet. For me, music is all about expressing yourself especially if, like me, you're bad at it(:

LOVE

The past month or two, I have been thinking about love and the meaning of love. Recently, a friend told me "Love is not a noun, but a verb.". That really got me thinking. My perspective one love has become much less focused on romance. Many people have showed me unconditional love lately. Whatever my situation, my friends have been there for me no matter what. Through them I have learned love, in my opinion, is to care/listen and to trust. Love is incredible, it has changed my life, by realizing that I am loved by so many people, I have been doing everything I can to show my love to everyone. Not just my love either, I am doing my best to portray God's love. Because that love, is the most important love to recognize that we have. I have seen the most sincere love from a new friend of mine, the love he has for his friends and for God is unbelievable. He has touched me, and changed me for the better, and I love him so much. As you can see a difference has been made in the way I see love, it is so much more important to love God than anything else. Through all of this I have really come to understand these verses much more: " 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 4-7

  1. You are growing up so fast!I see you changing right before my eyes, and it is amazing. I understand that growing up can be exciting but challenging. There are so many thing thrown at you every day that it can be confusing to figure out who you are. But that's OK because your Creator knows exactly who you are. He said that YOU are His workmanship, created to do good works, which he prepared in advanced for you Eph. 2:10. The Bible also says "being confident of this, that He that began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Ph 1:6.
Don't be anxious about who you will become, He promised that He would never leave you or forsake you.
One thing I know for sure, you are a gift to me and to all that know you.
Thank you for being such and inspiration!
    Love,Mom
